Maya was originally brought to us emaciated. Her health failing. But that starving puppy dog had a hunger for life as big as her appetite for food. She bounced back like a champ! In fact, she bounced back so well that now she could stand to lose a pound or two! She has lived in a home with kids, though she did have some issues with nipping (herding?) at first. Those issues were quickly resolved, but due to circumstances beyond her control Maya has come back to us and is looking again for her forever family. Maya enjoys playing with other dogs, but she is heartworm positive so she hasn't been able to take part in playgroups here at the shelter. Maya CANNOT live with cats. Definitely NO CATS.
