Gordo came to the shelter as a scared stray and sadly lost his brother soon after their arrival at PACC. However, he’s come to understand that the people he’s met at the shelter want only the best for him- and that they always have snacks on hand!! These days, Gordo is a friendly, brave, and very wiggly boy who loves to spend time with his volunteer friends. He even spent a few days away from the shelter:“Gordo’s pawjama party started with a trip to Decibel Coffee with myself and another volunteer, where he was a very good boy amongst all the patrons, noises, other dogs, bicyclists and strollers. He was completely non-reactive to all. He did table surf, trying to not-so-secretly snag a taste of our food. He will definitely need guidance on manners seeing as he has essentially grown up in the shelter. After brunch, we headed home. He needed a little coaxing to get up in the car but is a polite passenger. During our time together I learned he greets other dogs appropriately, mainly doing his own thing. He met three like-size females and a smaller male. He was non- destructive when left alone. He got the occasional zoomies playing with toys and adorably self-entertained at times. He is still a puppy with puppy energy, curiosity and antics but listens really well. He would definitely benefit from group or one on one training to develop more life skills and create a bond with his person. Gordo is the sweetest and cutest boy who has endured so much time in the shelter while keeping it together so well. He really impressed me in just the short time I had him. He is so deserving of a foster or adoptive family. With just a little bit of guidance and patience I have no doubt he will be the best companion!! I absolutely love this boy.”In another short term foster home Gordo again did well when left home alone and was housebroken. He loved rubber chew toys and tennis balls and was described as reserved at first, but very playful and friendly. Here’s what volunteers at the shelter have said:“Gordo is one of my favorites. He loves getting petted and getting lots of treats. He`s had many kennelmates and has done so well with all of them. I hope he’ll find a home soon.”“Gordo is one of the cutest dogs at PACC with his squishy baby face and puppy dog eyes.
