Say hey to Regina. She's sweet, playful, and comes with good energy. She gets walked weekly at the shelter and has become a volunteer favorite. She has a dynamic personality with just a touch of sass. Regina has a beautiful, soft coat and is very enjoyable to walk on leash. She is affectionate and will be sure to bring her eventual owner endless smiles and joy.Adoption processFill out an application to adopt. A small back ground is done to confirm that the adopters have not been convicted of animal neglect and/or domestic violence (there is a strong link between the two). If approved, it's a $10.00 adoption fee for the city, plus the cost of the spay/neuter. The spay/neuter fee varies of the species, sex and weight.Shelter locationOur shelter is at 507 Station Street, Hopewell VA 23860. We are located behind the downtown fire department. If you are using a GPS device to locate our facility we strongly suggest that you use the address of 200 S. Hopewell Street. That address will put you in front of the Fire Department that we are located about 200 yards behind. **YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE A CITY RESIDENT TO ADOPT FROM OUR FACILITY** HOURS OF OPERATION:10AM-2PMMonday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Friday/SaturdayBy APPOINTMENT ONLY ON:Thursdays and Sundays
