He also has a calm, relaxed side to him when he is enjoying his weekly walk with the volunteers. His cool, mysterious look and his soft, silky coat complement his affectionate and warm personality.Adoption processFill out an application to adopt. A small back ground is done to confirm that the adopters have not been convicted of animal neglect and/or domestic violence (there is a strong link between the two). If approved, it's a $10.00 adoption fee for the city, plus the cost of the spay/neuter. The spay/neuter fee varies of the species, sex and weight.Shelter locationOur shelter is at 507 Station Street, Hopewell VA 23860. We are located behind the downtown fire department. If you are using a GPS device to locate our facility we strongly suggest that you use the address of 200 S. Hopewell Street. That address will put you in front of the Fire Department that we are located about 200 yards behind. **YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE A CITY RESIDENT TO ADOPT FROM OUR FACILITY** HOURS OF OPERATION:10AM-2PMMonday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Friday/SaturdayBy APPOINTMENT ONLY ON:Thursdays and Sundays
